The measuring data on the video monitor is constantly updated. For this
purpose the MINISPEED 2000 has a Genlock-Interface which synchronizes
the signal of the video monitor with the updated measuring data. The outgoing
signal of the MINISPEED 2000 can be recorded with every video recorder
and can be shown on every video monitor.
The data is displayed
on a background lighted LCD display with 16 alphanumeric characters.
The
power is supplied by the car battery. When the instrument is turned off
the real-time clock causes about the same run-down of the battery as the
self-discharge of the accumulator.
Software
The program for the
MINISPEED 2000 has been written by using a MCS-51 assembler to fully use
all possibilities of the processor and to obtain an optimal accuracy and
reaction speed of the system. Since the program is saved in EPROM it is
secured against external influences.
